Optimal Beyond Functional (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://www.optimalbeyondfunctional.com/ (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We may collect:

  • Contact details you submit, including name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and message content (forms, newsletter signups, checkout, scheduling, or chat).

  • Account and order information if you buy from us (billing details are typically processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers).

  • Usage and device data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location, and timestamps.

  • Advertising identifiers and event data from cookies, pixels, and similar tools (for example page views, form submits, and purchases).

We collect this when you use the Site, fill out a form, subscribe, buy something, email us, or interact with our ads.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Operate the Site and provide the products or services you request.

  • Send transactional emails related to your request or purchase (order confirmations, receipts, shipping updates, appointment reminders, password resets, and similar service messages).

  • Send marketing emails about our products, services, offers, events, and content, where permitted by law.

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.

  • Analyze Site performance and improve our marketing.

  • Detect fraud, secure the Site, and comply with law.

  • Create and use advertising audiences, including lookalike / similar audiences.

3. Email: transactional and marketing

If you give us your email, we may use it for:

  1. Transactional / service messages — emails needed to complete a request or manage a customer relationship. These are not marketing newsletters.

  2. Marketing messages — newsletters, promotions, and other commercial email.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in those messages or by emailing support@optimalbeyondfunctional.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails that we still need to send (for example an order receipt).

We do not buy email lists. We only email addresses collected in a first-party context (this Site, checkout, in-person, or other direct interactions with us).

4. Advertising, Meta, Google, and lookalike campaigns

We use advertising platforms, including Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) and Google LLC, to show ads and measure results.

We may:

  • Run the Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Ads / Google Analytics tags, and similar tools on the Site.

  • Upload or sync customer information we collected ourselves (such as email address, phone number, name, and purchase events), typically in hashed form, to those platforms.

  • Build Custom Audiences and Customer Match lists from that information.

  • Create Lookalike Audiences (Meta) and similar / optimized audiences (Google) so we can find new people who resemble our customers or subscribers.

  • Use Site activity (visits, add-to-cart, purchases) for remarketing.

Those platforms act as independent controllers or joint controllers for some ad-targeting activity. They match hashed identifiers against their own user databases. We do not receive a list of which specific people were matched.

This is a form of sharing personal information with advertising partners for cross-context advertising. See “Your choices” below.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for:

  • Essential operation (security, cart, session, checkout).

  • Analytics (how the Site is used).

  • Advertising / measurement (Meta, Google, and other ad partners).

You can control non-essential cookies through our cookie banner (if enabled), your browser settings, and the opt-out tools listed below. Blocking cookies may break some Site features.

6. How we share information

We share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the business (Squarespace as website host, email tools, payment processors, analytics, shipping, scheduling).

  • Advertising partners, including Meta and Google, as described above.

  • Professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may “share” it for targeted advertising as described in this policy.

7. Your choices

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another region with similar laws, you may also have the right to object to processing, restrict processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where those laws apply, we process data based on:

  • Contract — to fulfill an order or request.

  • Legitimate interests — to operate the Site, prevent fraud, and understand our audience, balanced against your rights.

  • Consent — for marketing email and non-essential cookies / advertising technologies where consent is required.

  • Legal obligation — when the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

9. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. Advertising lists are refreshed and we remove people who unsubscribe or ask to be deleted from marketing audiences when we process that request.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect their information or use it for lookalike or Customer Match audiences.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and the new version will apply from the time it is posted.
